Heavy Duty Checkweigher
Model T2000

Heavy Duty Checkweigher, Model T2000

The Model T2000 Heavy-Duty Checkweigher is the industry standard for industrial and institutional packaging applications, with weight ranges from 10-300 Lbs. The T2000 is extremely accurate and dependable, yet is specifically designed for harsh, abusive, dirty environments commonly found in the cement, concrete, soil, bark, and carbon black products industries. Customers in the chemical, starch, flour, and salt industries have also come to rely on the T2000 Heavy-Duty Checkweigher for their quality control by weight.

Weigh station conveyors range from 28" long up to 5' long, and running at speeds up to 220 feet per minute and production rates in excess of 50 units per minute are considered “standard”. Conveyor components include standard off-the-shelf bearings, idler rolls, and drive components, and are available through your local distributors or directly from our factory. Conveyor belts are laced and include a V-guide for positive tracking.

The T2000 Heavy-Duty Checkweigher uses a single “S-Type” load cell in an extremely accurate flexure scale base residing below the conveyor, and our Model T2000 Checkweigher controller. Seventy-five product setups, fully digital calibration, and user prompts on-screen make the T2000 controller one of the easiest to use. Standard features include English or Spanish screens, prompts for product name, lot number, and 5 weigh zones (low reject, low pass, good, high pass & high reject)

A wide variety of options, accessories, and environmental options are available for the 4693 Heavy-Duty Checkweigher. Metering and pacing conveyors, reject conveyors, accumulation systems, motor controls and more are available to fit your exact application needs.

The Model T2000 Heavy-Duty Checkweigher is designed for in-motion weighing of discrete packaged products weighing from 10 Lbs. to 200 Lbs. These packages can be anything from pails of paint, to boxes and cartons, to bagged product conveyed laying flat or up on end. A wide variety of weigh station conveyors are available to meet the specific needs of each application. The T2000 Checkweigher is designed to withstand a wide variety of conditions without sacrificing the essential accuracy and repeatability demanded by today's processing and packaging industry.

Specialty Equipment offers a wide variety of options and accessories to complement the Model T2000 checkweigher:

  • Support structures from 16 inches to 15' to meet your new or existing conveyor line height
  • Harsh Environment options from Food Grade Compliant, to Explosion proof, to Highly corrosive areas, Epoxy coated, stainless steel, and special materials are available
  • In-feed pacing Conveyors
  • Reject Conveyor Systems
  • Peripheral Conveyors
  • System Motor Controls for a single checkweigher up to your entire packaging line
  • Data Logging and Reporting Software
  • Remote Digital Displays
  • Remote Zone Light Displays

Two Other Unique Specialty Equipment Checkweigher Features

Empty Bag Detect

  • Although the Model T2000 Checkweigher is very accurate, it cannot detect weights below approximately 2 pounds. Most bagging applications suffer from a common problem of occasionally discharging empty bags from packaging machinery. Since these empty bags typically weigh only a few ounces, most checkweighers will not detect the bag crossing the scale. It is extremely important to remove these bags before they enter automatic palletizing systems since they will most likely jam the machinery.
  • The Model T2000 Checkweigher offers an option to detect these empty bags using a photo-eye mounted below the outfeed end of the weigh station conveyor. If the bag is detected and there is no weighment output (neither good nor bad), then we assume the bag is empty and reject it from the system.

Early Weight Terminate

  • The standard Specialty Equipment checkweigher requires the head of the package to exit the weigh station conveyor before the current weighment cycle is terminated. In cases where this is not acceptable, a photo-eye input is available to terminate the weight cycle early. The photo-eye is placed about 3" from the exit of the weigh station and allows the checkweigher controller to classify the package before it begins to leave the weigh station.
