Robot Loading Station

General Specifications
This is a Bulk Box Loading Station, otherwise
known as a BAD, a "Box Alignment Device." It serves a robot that will fill
the box with products, in this case 80 lb rubber bales. In the photo to the
left, the arms, clamps and other positioning devices are retracted to their
home position. When a box is conveyed in, the twin arms swing down to position
the box. Then the end clamps close in on it to lock it in place. The box
is then pushed to the right side and signals the robot to load it. The conveyor
is synchronized because it uses common drive shaft, powered on one side and
transfered to the other side by the solid roller in view, a third of the
way up the line. The photo to the left shows the empty box captured in place,
ready to be filled by the robot.
